ESSAY QUESTION DUE FRIDAY:

Just in case you misplace it gang, here's your essay question:

I. Write an essay about the Scientific Method as it was used in the movie Never Cry Wolf.
a. Describe a time in the movie when the scientific method was used. What was going on in the movie? What was Tyler’ question that he needed to find an answer for?
b. Did Tyler have an official “control group” and “variable group” in his scientific experiment? If not, do you think his experimental outcome was still legitimate?

II. Did you like the ending to the movie? Why or why not?

As we discussed: 2 substantial paragraphs (so an estimated one handwritten page).

Sci Method continues tomorrow!

calender updates available

Hi everyone,

Take a look at the calendar, which is mapped out through the next 3 weeks. Here's what's coming up: a movie, three pond dips, making a model, and an experiment with yeast. AND we've got our caterpillars to follow.

Note that you have a TEST ON CHAPTER 1 SEPTEMBER 13, and a TEST ON CHAPTER 2 SEPTEMBER 27. You also have a couple of quizzes and a handful of homework assignments thrown in there too.

Don't forget to research Stericycle and to identify some pond critters this weekend.

Get ready for a fun, busy month!

EDITED 9/5 TO ADD: Y'all, our caterpillars are HUGE! They look like this:
